Construction
The scope of work included the interior and exterior renovation of 70-year old theatre situated beneath the fully occupied 11-story Whitney apartments on Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda, MD. Renovation work included removing the majority of the existing interior slab, installing an orchestra pit, sloping all new floors to improve visibility, adding elevated stadium seating at rear of auditorium, installing more than $1 million in lighting, seating, and sound systems, creating dressing rooms beneath the extended stage area, and building corporate office space fronting Wisconsin Avenue. The Bethesda Theater was completed October 4, 2007 and featured “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” as it's opening show.
