Parks: Ben Lomond Regional Park features the 13-acre SplashDown Waterpark, soccer and softball fields, a playground, picnic pavilions, tennis courts, sand volleyball and horseshoes. Bull Run Regional Park features the Atlantis Waterpark, camping, hiking & equestrian trails, and much more. Manassas National Battlefield is the site of the First & Second Battles of Bull Run.

Airports/Transportation: Dulles International Airport is convenient to the Manassas region and is less than 20 miles away. Reagan National Airport is a little bit further away, approximately 30 miles, but is still used by many residents of the area. Baltimore Washington International Airport is approximately 65 miles away. VRE - Manassas Park Station is located at 9300 Manassas Drive in Manassas Park and serves the Virginia Railway Express Manassas Line. The VRE shares the right-of-way with Amtrak's Cardinal and Crescent trains, however, no Amtrak trains stop here. Manassas Amtrak is located at 9431 West Street in Manassas and the Vienna metro stop is only about 20 minutes up the I-66 East, which makes for easy commuting.

Child Care: La Petite Academy offers quality child care and early learning for infants through school-aged children. Kinder Care also has several Manassas locations.

Elementary Schools: Mullen Elementary School is a world-class “School of Excellence” where children and learning come first. It is a part of the Price WIlliam County Public School System. Sinclair Elementary, “where eagles learn to soar”, is named for Charles A. Sinclair, who was a leading citizen of Manassas and served as the Prince William County Treasurer for more than twenty-five years, as well as the Mayor of Manassas and Chairman of Crestar Bank. Ellis Elementary School is named for Suella Gilbert Ellis, who was the first African American administrator in Prince William County.

Middle Schools: Stonewall Jackson Middle School is an international baccalaureate middle years program, where “high expectations are the foundation of [their] success. Park Side Middle School is an inspirational and collaborative learning community, which promotes a positive, organized, and respectful school environment.

High Schools: Stonewall Jackson High School is a public secondary school in Prince William County, near the city of Manassas. In May 2007, Newsweek Magazine ranked Stonewall Jackson 530th in the nation on its annual list of "Best High Schools in America." In 2001, Time Magazine named Stonewall Jackson School of the Year. Stonewall Jackson hosts an International Baccalaureate program, which was instituted in 1993.

Colleges/Universities: Northern Virginia Community College - Manassas Campus offers a variety of academic programs, continuing education classes, events and campus facilities to more than 10,000 students each year. This NOVA campus is located next to Manassas National Battlefield Park, site of the first major battle of the American Civil War, and boasts six classroom buildings, the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater, the 120-seat Colgan Theater, and Innovation Park. The Manassas campus is one of the smaller campuses, offering its students intimate class sizes and more personal attention. George Mason University (Prince William Campus) opened in 1997 and along with existing campuses in Fairfax and Arlington counties, it became the university’s third campus in Northern Virginia. Today, the 124-acre campus serves more than 4,000 students in five innovative facilities specially designed for classrooms, laboratories, libraries, recreation, the arts and other uses. The Prince William Campus is located approximately 30 miles west of Washington, DC in the “Innovation @ Prince William” research and development business park. Also nearby are the Aviation Institute of Maintenance and ACT College - Manassas.

Restaurants: Foster's Grille of Old Town is home of the famous Charburger. Panino Restaurant is an award-winning Italian restaurant in Manassas. Logan’s Roadhouse offers steaks, chicken, seafood, burgers, and other American fare. Some other neighborhood favorites include: City Tavern, Mackeys American Pub, Chipotle, Chik-fil-a, Five Guys, Firehouse Subs, Chili’s, Friday’s, Olive Garden and Red Lobster.

Sports Venues: Verizon Center is located in the Penn Quarter neighborhood of Chinatown in downtown Washington, D.C. and is home to the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals, the WNBA's Washington Mystics and the NCAA's Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team. Nationals Park is also nearby and is home to the Washington Nationals. You can also enjoy a minor league game of Potomac Nationals at Pfitzner Stadium in Prince William County.

Shopping: The Manassas Mall, located in Northern Virginia, just 2 miles south on Route 234 (Sudley Road) from I-66 Manassas, has over 100 specialty stores and a food court. Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Costco are all located nearby for your shopping convenience.

Museums: The Manassas Museum System offers a 7,000-square-foot museum building on eight acres, which opened in 1991. The museum features permanent and temporary historical exhibits that interpret Northern Virginia Piedmont history through artifacts, documents, videos, and images. Manassas National Battlefield is the site of the First & Second Battles of Bull Run; the First being the first major land battle of the American Civil War.
